Meet Ella!

Our guess is Ella is a beautiful Labrador mix. She is estimated to be around three years old. Her journey has been nothing short of incredible—rescued in her final hours from a rural South Carolina shelter, she gave birth to her seven precious puppies the very same night she arrived.

Despite her rough start, Ella has blossomed into a loving and affectionate girl. She quickly became a foster favorite, charming everyone with her sweet, eager-to-please personality. She does well with people and other dogs when introduced properly. With her laid-back nature, Ella would thrive in a loving home and would also fit in well with a more active family or even a relaxed family.

Ella is fully house-trained and has adapted wonderfully to home life. She’s up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and heartworm negative. Now that she’s almost done with her motherly duties, it’s her turn to find the loving forever home she truly deserves.

If you’re interested in giving Ella the happy ending she’s been waiting for, please fill out our adoption application at www.fabsrescue.com/applications

Our Mission

Founded in May 2019, Furry Animals Being Saved Rescue, Inc. is dedicated to saving the lives of homeless and at-risk dogs and cats.  We provide compassionate care, medical support and safe placement for every animal we rescue, with the goal of finding them permanent, loving homes.

About Us

Furry Animals Being Saved Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Tolland, CT and Swansea, SC. Founded by a lifelong animal advocate, FABS Rescue was established to continue the mission of saving homeless companion animals. After getting knocked down several times in the rescue community, she decided to create her own rescue so she could continue her mission to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats, particularly after encountering challenges within the rescue community.

FABS is a non-breed specific, fully foster-based rescue with specialized knowledge of the often misunderstood Chow Chow breed. Operated entirely by dedicated volunteers, we rely on the generosity of volunteers and donors to provide medical care, training, and daily support to dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia. Our mission is to save and rehabilitate vulnerable pets  one life at a time and place them in safe, loving forever homes.
